Introduction: In this guide, you'll learn how to safely update ACTIVE Subscription contracts in bulk.
Click "Bulk Actions": Open the "Bulk Actions" section to navigate to the Bulk Actions Wizard tool
Select A Subscription Plan: Access the bulk subscription contract management wizard to begin updating active subscriptions safely and efficiently. In Step 1, select the Subscription Plan that will be updated.
Estimated Matches: After selecting the Subscription Plan, the number of ACTIVE Subscription Contracts for this plan will be listed under "Estimated Matches"
Selecting the Bulk Action: In this Step, select the desired update for the active Subscriptions Contracts selected.
Sync ACTIVE Contracts to current Price: This action updates all ACTIVE contracts on the selected plan to the plan’s current price. The subscription contract line item is updated and any discounts are removed for the update. Database values are kept in sync.
Sync ACTIVE Contracts to current Title: This action syncs the stored plan title on each ACTIVE contract with the current plan title. This is a database‑only update; no Shopify contract changes are made.
Sync ACTIVE Contracts to current Tags: This action syncs plan tags for ACTIVE contracts to match the plan’s current tags. Missing plan tags are added and tags no longer on the plan are removed. Unrelated tags are preserved. Customer tags are also reconciled: add missing plan tags and remove only plan‑specific tags not required by other ACTIVE/PENDING plans.
Migrate ACTIVE Contracts to different Plan: This action migrates eligible ACTIVE contracts from the selected plan to the target plan. Customers already on the target plan are skipped. With Auto‑approve enabled, the switch is approved immediately (bypassing customer approval) and the old subscription is set to pending cancel per policy.
Change Subscription Status of ACTIVE Contracts: This action changes the status of ACTIVE contracts. Pending cancel schedules end of service at the current expiration. Cancelled ends service and records the reason.
Perform A Dry Run: After selecting the desired action, the "Preview(dry run)" Step allows you to perform a dry run ahead of executing the selected action
Running a Preview: The results of a dry run will be displayed here.
Click "Run now": After performing a dry run of the desired action, click the "Run now" button to run the selected action.
The Activity Tab: Click the "Activity" tab to review previous Bulk Action Runs.
