Verified Subscriptions is a Shopify app for merchants selling recurring or one-time digital access: memberships, courses, premium research, paid communities, coaching programs, gated content, digital services, and subscriber-only resources.
It exists because we ran into the same operational problems many subscription merchants face: billing data in one place, customer access in another, cancellation status somewhere else, and reporting that required too much manual reconciliation.
Why we created Verified Subscriptions
After years operating e-commerce businesses across WordPress, Magento, BigCommerce, and other platforms, Shopify became our home. But when we needed a dependable way to manage digital subscription access through Shopify, the available paths created too much friction.
We tried free tools, lower-priced apps with large review counts, newer subscription apps, multiple-app combinations, and custom code. Each approach solved part of the problem, but none gave our team the connected source of truth we needed for subscriptions, billing status, customer access, failed payments, cancellations, and reporting.
What we built for ourselves
Verified Subscriptions started as an internal answer to a practical operating problem: how do you sell digital access through Shopify and keep the customer journey, subscription status, protected content, and business reporting connected?
